I hope you are well and in good spirits! Since Mayor Lightfoot’s executive order of Phase Three for the City of Chicago, CASL has cautiously reopened our building and direct, in-person services to the community. We have always prioritized the safety of our clients and employees, and these uncertain times are no different. We takes great pride in practicing and enforcing best practices which have included a reconfiguration of our staffing and building to promote social distancing, wearing of face masks at all times, temperature check of all clients and employees entering our building, providing additional PPE to staff such as gloves, face shields, hand sanitizers and constant cleaning and sanitization of our facilities and vehicles.
CASL employees remain vigilant in providing continued remote and direct services to the community. We continue to champion the Emergency Senior Meals Project with over 300 enrolled seniors and about 68,000 culturally appropriate hot meals delivered to six senior housing buildings in the Armour Square and Chinatown neighborhoods. I thank our employees for their dedication as this project is truly a collective effort and massive, yet critical, undertaking.
CASL leadership will continue to monitor safety recommendations and will likely change in accordance to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and our state and city recommendations. Our community families can count on us to keep up-to-date with the latest recommendations and provide the safest possible environment for those we serve and those who serve them.
Stay Safe and Be Well. Yours in Service,
