A message from CASL CEO Paul Luu…

Dear Friends,

With an abundance of caution and concern for our clients, our employees, and the community, CASL suspended in-office operations March 16 at 6:00pm. Per Governor Pritzker’s Shelter In Place order, we will continue operating remotely through April 7. We must all do what we can to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and protect each other’s health and safety. During this time, staff are working remotely so that we can continue to serve our clients and families in the community and ensure that essential business functions remain in place. Clients are being assisted online or by phone. CASL staff will respond to inquiries within the same day.

For over two months, CASL’s leadership team has been actively monitoring the situation and preparing for the possibility of a larger outbreak in Chicago. Our highest priority is the wellbeing of our clients and employees. CASL’s leadership will continue to closely monitor this fluid situation in consultation with city, county, state, and federal authorities and the CASL Board of Directors in order to adjust guidance as needed.

I am so grateful to the CASL staff for their tireless work and commitment to serving the community and supporting each other. All CASL staff will continue to be paid during this time. For over 41 years, CASL has been an anchor and a haven serving the Chinese American community in Chicago. During this difficult time, the community needs us now more than ever. I hope that you and your families are staying well. Thank you for your continued support.

Paul Luu, CASL CEO
