Kevin Hall ​is an accomplished, award-winning Architect who brings the strong combination of​ ​design expertise, business acumen and people management.​ ​Passionate about positively​ ​impacting people’s lives through quality design of physical environments in the community, he​ ​insists on the highest standards and is dedicated to green building.

Kevin, as the Assistant Director for Architecture and Construction Services in the Multifamily Financing Department of the Illinois Housing Development Authority, leads a team that is responsible for maintaining and administering the architecture and construction standards that are used in the selection and oversight of development teams receiving funding resources through IHDA.

​Prior to this position, Kevin was Director of Planning, Design & Engineering for the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA), which​ ​oversees public housing in the City of Chicago. He was responsible for managing the planning and design of projects​ ​included in the CHA’s Capital Improvement Program worth more than $300 million.​ ​This position followed his time as Vice President at VOA Associates Inc., a global architectural design firm. He was​ ​responsible for managing multiple healthcare projects worth more than $100 million.

​Earlier, Kevin was a Planning & Design Oversight Manager for Chicago Transit Partners (CTP), which oversees the ongoing​ ​capital improvement plans for the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), the operator of mass transit for the City of Chicago and​ ​some of its suburbs. Kevin was responsible for strategic planning within the Planning Department, supporting the CTA’s​ ​Capital Improvement Program, worth an approximate value of $1 billion.

​As Deputy Director of Design for the Public Building Commission of Chicago, which plans, designs and constructs schools,​ ​libraries, fieldhouses, fire stations and other municipal buildings, Kevin led consultants and staff within the Design Department,​ ​responsible for the development of projects for the Chicago Public Library, Chicago Fire Department, Chicago Police​ ​Department, Chicago Park District and Chicago Public Schools, with an approximate value of $402 million.

​As Project Manager, Associate for OWP/P, one of Chicago’s largest architectural and engineering firms, Kevin was​ ​responsible for the adoption of sustainability within the Healthcare Market by partnering with Hospitals for a Healthy​ ​Environment, Green Guide for Healthcare and United States Green Building Council. He managed projects at Advocate Good​ ​Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL, with an approximate value of $20 million, and at Argonne National Laboratories in​ ​Argonne, IL.

Kevin brings extensive Board experience, serving as a Director of the Board of Directors of the Chinese American Service League, a Member of the Board of Directors of the South Loop Village in Chicago, and a member on the Chicago Regional Cabinet for Washington University in St. Louis. He also is a Member of Leading Together – The Campaign for Washington University and the university’s Eliot Society.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis. Certifications include LEED Accredited Professional Building Design + Construction from the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). Professional affiliations include Lambda Alpha International – Ely Chapter Member, Newhouse Architecture & Design Competition Juror, Crain’s Leadership Academy Participant, USGBC Illinois State and Local Government Committee Member, AIA National Illinois Regional Liaison for the Young Architects Forum and AIA Chicago Tour Coordinator for its National Conventions, Member of the AIA150 Chicago Planning Team, Chair of its 1999 Professional Development Conference and Former Chair of its Young Architects Professional Interest Area. He is sought-after Presenter at industry conferences and expos.

​An active volunteer, Kevin is Chair of the Chinese American Service League Facilities Committee and a former Mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
