James Mark Jr. is the Chief Strategy Officer at Wight & Company, leading strategic growth initiatives for their integrated design, engineering, construction, and transportation practice.
Mr. Mark is a licensed architect, holds a B.S. in Architecture from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and studied at The Ecole de Beaux Arts in Paris, France. Previously, he worked at Skidmore Owings & Merrill LLP as their North America Central Practice Leader. He serves on the executive board as Vice Chair for the Friends of the Chicago River and is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Land Economics Society, and the Urban Land Institute. Mr. Mark is the nephew of Leonard Louie, 23-year board member, and is committed to continuing his legacy in Chinese American civic leadership.
Mr. Mark lives in Naperville with his lovely wife of 29 years and his new puppy. He also has a daughter, who serves on the CASL Associate Board, and a son who attends the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
