CASL's 22nd Annual Benefit Dinner a Success!
Over $310,000 raised to support CASL's programs
On May 11, 2011, CASL held its 22nd Annual Benefit Dinner at the Hilton Chicago. The evening was a success and raised over $310,000 in funds to support and sustain the comprehensive programming and services CASL provides to over 17,000 clients of all ages and backgrounds each year.
The evening included festive performances by CASL’s cultural retention program students, a silent auction and raffle, and presentation of the Golden Lion Award to Mr. Raymond Spaeth, retired President of Lakeside Bank.
Appetizers were prepared by CASL’s Chef Training Program graduates and the four dinner courses by renowned Asian American Chicago chefs: Jesse DeGuzman of Sunda, Tony Hu of Lao Yu Ju, Bill Kim of Urban Belly, and Jackie Shen of Chicago Cut Steakhouse.
In the photograph above, 22nd Annual Benefit Dinner Event Chair Frank Clark, Chairman and CEO of ComEd, is presented an original work of art entitled "Energy," created by two former CASL clients, the now world famous Zhou brothers. The gift commemorates the gifts Clark has shared with CASL and represents energy for CASL's future.
