On Friday, December 14th, CASL celebrated the graduation of the 55th-60th classes of the Chef Training Program. We here at CASL wish all of our graduates the best of luck as they embark upon a new path of success and fulfillment as they plunge into the culinary world. In attendance at this year's graduation ceremony was Pradeep Raman of the Peninsula Hotel, Rob Koewler from Western Union, Deputy Director McHahon of the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for the State of Illinois, Susan Massel on behalf of the Mayor's Office of Workforce Development. Alpana Singh, food critic on the TV show "Check Please!" and Master Sommelier, delivered the Keynote Address to our students. Judy Hsu from Channel 7 ABC WLSTV and the CASL Advisory Board acted as our MC and Goldie Ma represented the graduates in the Student Address. Bernie Wong and Esther Wong both were in attendance to deliver some remarks and many members of the CASL Board of Directors were present to congradulate the students.
This week we will have an exciting graduation cermony for the students of the 55th-60th Chef Training Clases. Alpana Singh, Master Sommelier will be in attendance to give the keynote speach and the current members of the Chef Training Program will be providing a fantastic array of appetizers. Judy Hsu, co-anchor on ABC will act as the MC for the event. Be there, Friday, December 14 from 11am-1pm in the CASL Ballroom in the Kam Liu Building!
